VNA Varieties
VNA (VAM Not Assigned) Varieties
VNA is an acronym used on VAMworld.com to denote a die variety that has been examined by Leroy Van Allen but not listed as a new VAM. Typically a variety is not listed because the variety features are not sufficiently large or prominent or the submitter has mistaken a striking error or post-strike damage for a true die variety feature
VAMworld.com encourages users to post photos and descriptions of VNA varieties for two reasons. First, someone may use the images for variety attribution, or lack thereof. Second, examining VNA varieties is an educational tool to better understand where the line is drawn between a listable and unlistable variety. Examination might also help you uncover some of your own mistakes before you become too attached to them.
