Hot Lips

Hot Lips is a nickname for the 1888-O VAM-4, one of the most popular and recognizable Morgan dollar die varieties. Hot Lips features heavily doubled profile features, most notably Lady Liberty's lips:

This variety is sometimes promoted as super rare in lower circulated grades and, while it is still very desirable and collectible, it is only scarce at best in grades of fine and lower.
